I have to apologize for not blogging much lately, I've hurt my back and haven't felt like doing much of anything. Today it feels like it is on the mend! It's amazing how pain can take all of your focus and distract you from the things you love to do (so discouraging sometimes).
I finally found a moment to blog about this amazing swap I participated in this month.
I finally found a moment to blog about this amazing swap I participated in this month.
This weekend, I brought my amazing little boxes to the shop to show off. They caught attention, everyone wanted to know what they were.
Lots of my customers at Abigail's don't know about swaps and have never tried one, so I'll explain a little about what I know.
If anyone has anything to add, the comment box is open.
Usually a blog owner hosts a swap with a theme. This swap was hosted by Heather at Speckled Egg.
She placed us in groups of four and each person made 3 boxes to send to each other.
The boxes were sliding match boxes (the big kind).
So here's what I made for my partners:

So here's what I made for my partners:
I decorated the boxes with sheet music, copies of vintage bird postcards, and tiny nests I made.
I filled it with vintage buttons and other goodies I'd collected.
When I got my boxes from my partners, I just about died...(I was clearly out of my league in this swap).
Lisa at Tarnished and Tattered (one of my FAVORITE blogs)
It was wrapped in sweet seam binding and pattern paper.
This amazing box filled with wonderful goodies...
The second box was from Petite Michelle Louise. So fabulous!
