Visions of Slipcovers

So, I was talking to a friend earlier today.
After a divorce and lost job, I've been trying to convince her
that there's more than one way to make a living in this world.

We were throwing around ideas and discussing the possibility of her making slipcovered furniture to sell at Abigail's.
She's got awesome sewing skills, she's got the time.

So now I've got visions of white slipcovered furniture dancing in my head like little sugarplums.
Here are some I found on flickr:

*sigh*
I can't wait!

  1. So, do you think she'd do custom jobs? I have two couches that need new dresses.

I think this stuff would sell like crazy!

  2. I'm positive she would. She does upholstery too. Let me have her do a couple sample/practice pieces because I've never seen her work. (She used to make blessing dresses for my shop on Main Street and they were AMAZING, so I'm sure her slip-covers will be too.)

  7. Melissa,
Me again, just read your comment. I'm so excited we're partners, cuz I know you have very cool stuf!! LOL You need to email stuff you like. I love putting together little goodies for people. This is only my 2nd swap but I think I could get addicted. I can't stop looking at those slipcovers, wish I could think of a way to have one made for me. Lisa

  9. Hi Andria, I only have those available in my brick and mortar shop here for now. I am also low on stock, perhaps when I reorder, I can let you know and we could ship one to you.
Thanks for your interest (and sorry I can't help more).
    Melissa :)

Just wanted to check in and say hello! I just tried to send you an email but it bounced back. I'm very excited to be in this swap with you! Is there anything special that you are looking for ~ certain supplies, colors, etc.

    Thanks so much for playing!
