A Few of My Favorite Random Things Today...

I have had no time to blog lately...

A fellow blogger's photo of aqua mason jars and pink roses (forgot who to give credit to: let me know if this is your photo and advance apologies for no credit).

A cool signed print I found at a yardsale recently (keeping for my bedroom, not the shop). It's me, messy hair, barefoot, chunky build, casual dress, and holding a baby in a diaper. Oh yeah, and the had on the hip that suggests (to me) strength and maybe a little attitude, or just plain exhaustion and not wanting to take crap from anyone. This was drawn by a student/friend of Pablo Picasso named Manuel Ruiz-Pipo. Although I was never in Paris in the 70's (ok, wasn't even born) when he drew this, I'm sure it's me.

My Grandma and Grandpa in the 40s (picture stolen from Aunt Amy's blog).

Thanks for taking the time to look at my blog!

  1. Love the picture of your grandparents! It seems to be full of secrets stories and happiness! Out of curiousity, who won the giveaway??

  2. Thank you for your kind words you left on my blog! I have decided to go ahead and take the plunge and I am going to get myself a big booth at a different antique mall! Its actually quite big, gets a lot of traffic, so I am hoping to be quite successful. Of course at some point in the future I want to open my own shop, but I think this will be a great way to get my name out locally and to get a feel at what people like. And then to top it off I was accepted as a Silver Bella Vendor tonight so I am excited about that too! Good things are happening all at once! I love it!!!

I would love to see more pictures of your store if you get the chance!

  3. My baby had his 1st birthday last night and it was busy, busy! I will announce the winner of the giveaway by the end of today: GOOD LUCK!!

Sarah: you can do it!! I was so scared when I signed the lease on my first shop. I didn't know how I could ever pay the rent. I'm glad you took that leap of faith. You might fail or succeed (I'm guessing you'll kick butt) but at least you'll never have the regret of not taking the chance. I'll try to post more pics of the shop. I had a lady fill up a UHAUL that she rented just to come to my shop yesterday. All my displays are trashed! I have lots of work today.
